Fall Family Photography at Discovery Park
These four (soon-to-be five) humans are not just clients—they make my job feel less like work and more like hanging out with friends. I’ve been photographing their family for a couple of years, so celebrating this new chapter in their lives with some fall family photography at Discovery Park was extra special. Fall was doing its thing—golden light, tall grass swaying, trees showing off. Oh, and what are we celebrating, you ask? They’re having a baby girl! Cue the excitement and just a tiny bit of chaos in their house once she arrives. I freaking love capturing the natural, raw, and beautiful moments that tell a family’s story.
Fall Family Maternity Photoshoot at Discovery Park
Discovery Park in the fall is absolute magic. If you're looking for golden fields, crisp air, and soft, glowy light, this place hits the mark. We totally lucked out with a sunny evening, which, let's be honest, doesn't always happen in the Pacific Northwest this time of year. The park basically rolled out the red carpet for this family session. The boys had plenty of room to run around and explore, and the place was so peaceful.
The Special Announcement During Their Fall Family Photography
Christine had a great idea to announce their baby girl in the most playful way—pink balloons! Watching the boys toss them around in the field was adorable and a fun way to include them and make it exciting. I’m not sure who had more fun: the boys trying to keep the balloons up or me and their parents getting to watch. It was such a sweet, carefree moment that perfectly captured the joy and excitement of welcoming a new little one.
