Getting your home ready for in-home family photos—it’s easier than you think! First, we need just a bit of tidying up without going overboard; we want to keep that cozy, lived-in feel. Natural light is your best friend, so consider which rooms get the best light and when. For this recent shoot, we did a lot of shots in the bedrooms, letting the girls play and just be themselves. They were so sweet and silly, and I loved how excited they were to show me around their home and rooms. Adding personal touches—like their favorite toys and family photos on the walls- will make the session unique to your family and reflect their personalities.

I love shooting families at home, where everyone is most comfortable. This session was one of my favorites.
