Galen and Andrew’s Fremont Foundry wedding was proof that you really can have both—a private San Francisco courthouse ceremony and a full Seattle celebration that still feels personal, intentional, and wildly good-looking. Technically, these two were already married long before the rooftop vows, but this day was all about getting every favorite person in one place and throwing a damn good party.
Set right in the middle of Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, Fremont Foundry has that rare combination of modern and industrial. The rooftop deck overlooks North Seattle, the interiors have vaulted ceilings and steel architecture everywhere, and yes, the glass dance floor is every bit as fun as you’d hope.
Early September in Seattle decided to fully cooperate for once, which honestly deserves recognition on its own. The rooftop ceremony had warm sun, soft light, and memorable skyline views. Cocktail hour flowed seamlessly outside before everyone headed indoors for dinner and dancing, and that’s one of the best things about Fremont Foundry. You never feel like the day is chopped into awkward sections. Everything transitions naturally from one space to the next, which keeps the energy up and the guests happy. A very underrated wedding skill set, honestly.

Galen understood the assignment when it came to bridal style. The dress was simple, clean, and timeless, a reminder that sometimes the best option is just not overcomplicating it. Then she paired it with green Prada heels, which was such an iconic choice.
The green details were carried throughout the entire wedding day. From the florals to the ribbon details to the reception styling, everything tied together so naturally. The rooftop ceremony florals were unreal—lush white blooms layered with soft greens. Fremont Foundry already has so much texture and character on its own, so keeping the design refined and organic worked perfectly.
Honestly, their cake deserves its own paragraph because it fully stole the show. Instead of a traditional tiered cake, Galen and Andrew went with this long single-tier cake decorated with grapes, kiwis, and loose-stemmed flowers running all the way down the center. It felt so artistic and fun.

By the time the ceremony started on the rooftop, guests settled into rows of white chairs surrounded by overflowing florals while the Seattle skyline did its thing in the background. I may be biased, but I think Fremont Foundry’s rooftop may be one of the best ceremony spots in the city, especially on a sunny September evening.
After cocktail hour outside, everyone moved indoors for dinner, drinks, and what quickly turned into a packed dance floor. Then the night somehow kept getting better. Galen changed into the cutest reception look and later walked onto the dance floor carrying trays of Diet Cokes for guests. Meanwhile, Andrew swapped his suit jacket for a Seattle Mariners jersey with their last name on the back because if you’re going to end the night, you might as well fully commit to the bit.
The entire wedding was the perfect balance of elevated and fun. Beautiful, stylish, and just a genuinely good celebration for two people who clearly know how to create a great experience for everyone around them!
