Southern Wedding in Jekyll Island
Angela and Greg’s wedding in Jekyll Island was pretty much the definition of Southern charm meets elegance. If you tie the knot somewhere, why not do it at a spot that holds so many childhood memories, right? Angela grew up spending time at the Jekyll Island Resort with her family, so when it came time to pick a wedding location, it was a no-brainer. With moss-draped oaks, historic architecture, and natural coastal beauty, the island is a match made in heaven for romantic wedding days.
A Southern Wedding at Jekyll Island Club Resort
Angela and Greg picked the Crane Cottage at Jekyll Island Club Resort for their ceremony. Calling it a "cottage" feels like a bit of an understatement—it's this grand, Italian Renaissance-style beauty with a view of the Jekyll River. Every way you turn, you think you've seen it all. But, between the reflecting pool, the courtyard, and a formal sunken garden, it just kept going, and this was JUST the cottage. You can choose several different areas to have your ceremony or reception. The whole place oozed Southern charm, with those gorgeous live oaks and Spanish moss adding more magic.
Angela & Greg’s Dream Wedding in Georgia
The reception at Angela and Greg’s wedding was one for the books—seriously, there was so much going on, they nailed the entertainment! First, the grounds were stunning, with horse carriages casually strolling guests around and Spanish moss hanging from the trees like some magical movie set. The whole place just had this vibe, you know? They really went all out for their guests, too—there was a live portrait painter, a cigar roller, a killer live band, and, yes, late-night pizza (because no good party is complete without it). It was a crazy, humid day, but the villa gave off serious Italian vibes, so nobody was even mad about the sweat. By the end, everyone was drenched, but honestly? Nobody cared—they were too busy having the best time ever.
