Isn't it amazing how Instagram can connect us with such wonderful people? Shelby found me there, and from our very first chat, it felt like we'd known each other forever. When she and Travis described their dreamy cliffside wedding in Laguna Beach, I was over the moon to be their photographer.

Despite the California heat, everything felt magical when the sun dipped below the horizon just as dinner began on their big day. It was a day overflowing with love, and I felt honored to capture every moment.

Shelby and Travis have the most adorable baby boy, Hayden, who just turned one at the time of the wedding. He was such a big part of the day, and let me tell you, he is just the cutest! They decided to stay at the Ranch at Laguna, one of their favorite hotels in the area. Knowing they wanted to get married close by, they chose Occasions as their California wedding venue. It was the perfect choice!

Occasions at Laguna Village is such a gem for weddings! You've got to see it. The views of the ocean and coastline are just stunning, and the vibe is so laid-back and perfect for a celebration. Their ceremony was on the outdoor terrace, with the ocean breeze and all. And inside, the reception area is just so cozy and elegant, perfect for dinner and dancing. Plus, the staff there are super friendly and helpful, making sure everything runs smoothly!

Travis & Shelby’s Cliffside Wedding in Laguna Beach

This wedding was like a garden paradise perched on a cliff overlooking the beach—it was so magical! Picture lots of white flowers and greenery, with a stunning white dance floor. For the bride and groom shots, we explored a couple of areas, including the beach (naturally) and a nearby spot with adorable little cacti. Shelby had this paper parasol that she used in some of the shots. Why do I love those damn umbrellas so much!?
