This Sleeping Lady Resort wedding wasn’t your typical “show up, cry, eat, go home” situation. Jack and Devon did it right. They rented out the entire property and turned their wedding into a full-on weekend experience. Guests stayed in cozy cabins tucked into the woods, which immediately set a relaxed, nostalgic tone, just structured enough to keep things from going fully feral. It had a summer camp energy, but elevated. Jack and Devon cared about connection. They wanted their people to have a genuinely good time. It was easy, it was fun, and it worked exactly the way they hoped.

If you’re going to set the tone for your wedding weekend, hiking The Enchantments the day before is a pretty strong opening move. Very on-brand for Jack and Devon, who genuinely love being outside and didn’t suddenly pivot into “ballroom people” just because they were getting married.
The next morning, before anything officially started, they did private vows just the two of them. And honestly, this is the part more couples should steal. It gave them a quiet moment to actually process what was happening before the day picked up speed. Their story fits the vibe, too. They met on New Year’s Eve at a friend’s party, introduced by their best friends.

Let’s address the wildcard: it was peak smoke season in Washington. Not ideal. But in a move that still feels, honestly, impressive, Jack and Devon brought in someone the day before to help clear it out—and somehow…it worked. So yes, we’re calling that a win. Their ceremony overlooked the mountains with that soft, hazy light that photographers love and everyone else just calls “really pretty.”
When a couple is this chill and this clear about what they want, everything else falls into place. Jack and Devon simply wanted a great weekend with their favorite people. Mission very much accomplished.
