Madison had her eye on an Admiral’s House wedding long before Troy probably even knew her favorite coffee order. Getting married here had been on her list since she was a kid, and honestly, great call. Perched above Elliott Bay, the property serves up one of the best views in the city. You get the skyline, a perfect look at the Space Needle, and on a clear day, Mount Rainier.
Built in 1944 as the residence for U.S. Naval Admirals, the home hosted decades of official events, dignitaries, and formal entertaining. It’s now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which is a fancy way of saying the venue has been iconic for a very long time.
And it shows. The classic architecture, big windows pouring in light, and sweeping lawn overlooking the water all set the tone. Madison leaned right into that timeless feel with clean details, soft florals, and elegant tablescapes. In other words, the venue handled the dramatic scenery, and the wedding design kept things polished, relaxed, and undeniably beautiful for their Seattle wedding day.

One of the best parts about Madison and Troy’s wedding was the people. And there were a lot of them, but in the best possible way.
These two roll deep with their WASU crew, a friend group that feels like a traveling wedding tour at this point. I’ve photographed multiple weddings within this circle already, so by the time Madison and Troy’s day rolled around, it was like walking into a reunion where everyone happens to be very well dressed.
And the families? Instant chemistry. Sometimes weddings have that subtle “our side vs. their side” energy at the start of the day. Not here. Parents, siblings, and friends blended like they’d been hanging out for years. You could see it all day long.

Seattle decided to behave itself for this one, which, if you know Seattle, is not something you take for granted. As the evening rolled in, the light over Elliott Bay started doing its thing, and the skyline turned into the dreamiest summer backdrop.
Madison’s dress change was adorable and iconic. One minute, she’s the picture of timeless elegance, the next, she’s ready to fully commit to the party. Honestly, every bride should have a second-look moment like this. It’s the wedding equivalent of switching from heels to sneakers and suddenly unlocking your full dancing potential. The reception energy followed suit.
Madison looked absolutely stunning all day (and night). They are the kind of couple that makes the entire wedding feel effortless. They never stopped laughing together, which makes me so happy for their future together.
